Wedding Ceremony Sites

The Barn at Hickory Hills offers 5 different locations to host your wedding ceremony all located within a very short walk of The Main Hall reception area.

The Enchanted Forest

This ceremony site begins down a softly lit pathway through overhanging shade trees and leads to a set of freestanding barn doors.  Once you open and pass through the doors, there are wooden benches for your guests to sit while they witness wedding vows being exchanged. The Enchanted Forest has strands of soft accent lighting and gently landscaped pathways. Many guests have compared this area to the wedding scene from the Twilight movie series.

The Open Air Chapel

The open-air chapel site is to the north of the venue and allows for the entire wedding party to be clearly seen by their friends and loved ones.  Decorative arch windows may be hung to give this area a traditional chapel feel creating a timeless charm with many trees serving as a beautiful natural backdrop.  As guests are seated under strands of romantic lights, the chapel/stage and concrete patio area may be quickly transformed to a dance floor within minutes of the ceremony.

The Fireplace Pavilion

The outdoor stacked stone fireplace provides the perfect background for this site with the tree line and water feature being a part of the surrounding area.  The pavilion will hold 150 guests while still providing the bride and her wedding party a generous aisle way.  Should the weather become an unexpected challenge on the wedding day, the pavilion offers white roll down doors that may be easily pulled creating a room of sorts to protect wedding parties and the wedding guests themselves from the weather.

The Bohemian Garden

This site is located on the south lawn of the venue and is designed for those brides who want to combine a more relaxed and carefree outdoor atmosphere with their creative and free-spirited style.  Guests and wedding party will walk through a set of free-standing doors with macramé hangings to get to this site with permanent bench seating.  Various rugs are available allowing the wedding party to walk barefoot down the aisle to stand before a permanent arbor flanked on both sides by natural pampas grass.

The Main Hall

Although The Main Hall is generally reserved for the wedding reception, there have been many wedding ceremonies performed in this beautifully style barn. With seating for 150 guests, the reception area features a mixture of white-washed and natural wood walls,  drapery with chandeliers, and bistro lights illuminating the interior.  The simpleness of the design allows the space to be decorated in any theme a couple desires whether it be boho, woodland, industrial, or modern posh.  The doors may be opened to bring the outdoors into the main hall and allow easy  access to the many outdoor features of the venue.   The porch and patio areas offer a delightful outdoor experience for every wedding!  Perfect for lounge areas, dance floors, and cocktail hours, your guests will continue to enjoy the wedding experience beneath twinkling bistro lights and a star-dusted sky.
